We just made it in to Houston. Just wanted to say Thank You Thank You Thank You. What a fabulous weekend. And your pictures look great! I will add some tonight. A special thanks to the Aunts and Michelley for all of your hard work and planning. And of course, VIRG, Don & Pat for your fabulous Bon Fire! What a trip. What a trip. Looking forward to Jessica Bash 2006 in June!

Out-of-state guests are starting to arrive as we frantically finish preparation for THE BIG 30 PARTY. Virg says since we missed the rain on Wednesday it is somewhat dry. If anyone has a fire extinguisher they could bring along— many thanks. We have large buckets and an outside hydrant for water also. He would like to start the fire at 2:30 if he could have 2 or 3 volunteers to help so it can be burned down with nice cooking coals by the time we start serious hot dog cooking.

It is ON, family. Andi and Joe arrived in the QC safely last night, I am heading out of the office in mere moments to get myself to the airport for the above mentioned jaunt, the Georgia crew will be packing up and hitting the road later this afternoon, and the two loads of Minnesota folks are doing the same.
Look out, Quad Cities. There is about to be a whole lotta Frieden going on.

I have an extra cane for you now that you have hit 30- ha!

The bonfire site is ready with plenty of logs to keep throwing on the fire. Full moon is Monday so we should enjoy a pretty moonlit night. I watched the moon set at 3:30 this morning- spectacular!

I made it to 30 & it doesn’t feel so bad. I did have to wear glasses yesterday at work, but I think I was just tired. Thanks so much for your kind notes and wishes. You guys are the best. See you day after tomorrow!
