As we embark on this new week, this song keeps echoing in my mind…
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above all Heavenly Hosts.
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
And as the psalmist penned, Let everything that hath breath Praise the LORD!
I will begin this week with praise to our God. It is He that gives me peace, joy, and calm in the midst of the storm. No matter what lays ahead in the days to come, God is already there marking my path.
At it’s worst—Life is still good! Love to all you Frieden’s and friends of Friedens.
Your Colorado Connection, Mary
Just what part of snow didn’t you get—the S, the N, the O, or the W? Perhaps 85 degrees this time of year has your high powered brain in a little melt-down!
Check us out on Shutterfly for the proof!
You are so-o-o-o sweet Andi Pandi. I love you and I love signing on and hearing great words or silly words, or whatever words from you and/or anyone else who haunts this blog! It is a tremendous blessing to me. Helps me feel part of this great family of ours!
I have smiled several times today as I visited here.
I mean, that was a very cute story about Anna. But Snow? Really?
over & out from Houston (85 degrees on the Fehrenheit scale)
Saturday is a great day in Colorado also. We have gone from a beautiful sunrise to a sudden appearance of very dark storm clouds—which moved over and began dumping future snowmen all over the place. We are currently back to the gorgeous sun glimmering through the golden leaves of the cottonwood along with turning the new fallen snow into much needed moisture—sorry snowmen—maybe next time. Thank you God for VARIETY!!!
Life is never boring here—in fact, boring isn’t part of our vocabulary. You will more often hear the sweet voice of Anna saying something like, “I love you so-o-o-0 much!” Or other times she puts forth her scream of delight, anger, or play—all sounds the same! Lots of opportunity for staying occupied.
My favorite was just the other day. She and I had made cupcakes. (I must be a grandma to have patience with a 2 yr. old breaking eggs, etc!) The cupcakes were baked and waiting on the counter to cool enough so we could fill them and ice them.
Anna climbed up on her stool, stood in front of them, waved her clenched little hands in anticipation and said with such enthusiasm, “this is SO exciting!!” I suppose you would have had to have been here to fully appreciate it. For me it was so incredible coming from that little mouth.
Anyone who wonders WHY I have taken on motherhood again at my mature age would only have to watch occasionally to see how God is blessing my socks off with this precious child. She continues to display all the innocence that God has given to all of us. She brings healing to my bones!!
Love you all and pray God’s best for you! Mary
Well I woke up this morning and went into Isaac’s room. Then it dawned on me that he was not there. He’s at Tom Tomas’s cabin for the weekend. So the only people at the house are Kristin me and my dad. Dad was already outside looking at the yard at 8:50 this morning when I looked out. That is a good two or three hours before I usually go outside and do yard work on Sat. but I figured what the heck, it’s dad right. So anyway, I went outside and found dad and we looked over the patch of grass that we had seeded last weekend before I went to Penn. . It looked good and we decided we made the right call planting grass there. After we admired our handy work on the grass I decided it was finally time to trim the trees back around the driveway and dad agreed. So I did that and then I figured I would spread the rest of the pinestraw I took out of the bed which Dad and I had just turned into a spot of grass. So I did that and then I figured I better fix those two parts of the sprinkler system that are broken. I did that as well and finally I ended my yard work for the day by fertilizing mom’s rose bushes with this stuff I found at the store that comes in the form of a stake that you hammer into the ground. I had never seen anything like it but then again, I have never fertilized roses before either. So that is what we are all doing in Georgia today. Tomorrow I will be watching the Bears whip up on the the Saints. Hopefully with dad and Isaac. Over and out.
Hi All,
Please pray regarding a new job opportunity I am interested in. Our accountant resigned to accept a position at the school district. I have applied for the accounting position which would be an upgrade from my accounts payable position. I interviewed yesterday. It is now in God’s hands. I’m praying for another Frieden miracle this year in which God has been so busy in our lives.
Thanks,
Donna
ah. home. i’m so glad i can wake up today. and linger over the coffee and the crossword. while the dogs run around. and i do not have to think about dragging myself up to the shower just yet. i love SATURDAY AM. I miss the updates from grandma & mom though. i think they were better at keeping track of this clan than me! joe left so early this morning, i think it was still yesterday to head up to the ranch for opening day. he is very excited. michelle is sleeping. soundly. i think my Aunt Susan is starting to wake up in the guest room. A friend is sleeping on the couch. not much on the agenda for today yet. i have to work tomorrow, so maybe i will take the day off. yes, that is sounding mighty good. i’ve lost track completely of the rest of the Frieden-7, but I trust they are all doing well. better go refill my cup. Love you guys. have a great weekend, Andi
only donut makers should get up at 6. and grandmas. possibly farmers, if it’s the right season. but not regular people. or their dogs. not in November anyway. it’s not just a little dark. it’s middle of the night, pitch black. (I’m sure Mary would have some beautiful and poetic way of describing this morning — even though you can’t see it, due to the blackness. But she’s a grandma. She’s allowed.) Didn’t we just “fall-back” last weekend? I think we should have fallen back a little further.
hope you guys all have a great weekend. i’m glad you guys are out there keeping us in your prayers.
