Happy Birthday Joe and Jessica,
Wish we could all be together to celebrate Joe turning 31 and Jessica turning 21, but since we can’t I’ll go celebrate with Jessica at Applebee’s in Muscatine. You are welcome to join us Joe!
Have a wonderful day!
Donna
PS Yes, Jessica will have a designated driver for the first time in her life!
So when you are from rural Illinois. You have lived in Springfield, Rochester, Wilmington, Miami, Newark, Illinois City, Macomb, Champaign, Chicago, and you once had an apartment outside of Cambridge… And now you live in Houston. And you find yourself in New York City for work. It’s weird. It’s like being from nowhere. I don’t think about how much I’ve moved very often. But I always do, when I find myself here. When somebody asks you “where are you from” – what do you say? “I’m from Illinois, y’all”??? Not so much. [If that’s even how you spell “y’all”??? Cuz I don’t know. I never actually say it, much less write it.]. Anyway, my point. I went to dinner tonight at a restaurant recommended by my boss. [is that what you call a partner in your law firm? No idea. Anyway]. I called ahead. Reservations recommended. Reservation for one. Frieden. F-R-I-E-D-E-N. Yes. Just one. Ugh. The food was melt in your mouth good. So, now I know the answer to the question – if a tree falls in the woods, and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound? The answer is No. So, I know people I think are pretty cool, who I think could go out and eat at a fancy place all alone, and enjoy it. Not me. And now I wonder. Do they really? Cuz I can tell you how good it was, and it’s not the same as being there with you. So, here’s something to think about… I’ve now lived in HOUSTON, TEXAS, longer than I’ve ever lived in one town in my whole life. 4 years and 4 months. Ekes out Macomb and Illinois City by a couple months. Right. My point. I forget.
