prayer & praise

As we embark on this new week, this song keeps echoing in my mind…

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above all Heavenly Hosts.
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

And as the psalmist penned, Let everything that hath breath Praise the LORD!

I will begin this week with praise to our God. It is He that gives me peace, joy, and calm in the midst of the storm. No matter what lays ahead in the days to come, God is already there marking my path.

At it’s worst—Life is still good! Love to all you Frieden’s and friends of Friedens.
Your Colorado Connection, Mary

Hi All,
Please pray regarding a new job opportunity I am interested in. Our accountant resigned to accept a position at the school district. I have applied for the accounting position which would be an upgrade from my accounts payable position. I interviewed yesterday. It is now in God’s hands. I’m praying for another Frieden miracle this year in which God has been so busy in our lives.
Thanks,
Donna

Below is the awesome update from Rob:

“Well, we went to the doctor and she said that everything seems perfect. The
heartbeat is like 150, which is good apparantly and she seems to be getting
healthier, which is what babies do as they grow. So that is good. The
doctor just said that if your a little sore take some tylenol but don’t
worry cause the baby is very well protected in there. After we did that I
went and saw the car and took a couple pictures. ….”

Could everyone please keep Lisa in your prayers today? Thanks everyone.

Love,
Andi

We awoke to a gorgeous fall morning in Iowa. The colors of fall are glistening with raindrops. The gentle breeze brings a chill through the open window.

Thank You God for another precious day!

Enjoy your day all you Frieden’s—it will never come again.

Love you all, Mary

Time for a little praise and prayer. Rob & Kristin were in a car accident today (in their brand new car). Someone ran into them in GA this afternoon on Kristin’s passenger side of the car (it was the other guy’s fault, and he had insurance & got a ticket). Everyone was moving at the time. And everyone was in seatbelts. Looks like the car took a beating (back axle broke, maybe)… but PRAISE GOD everyone seems to be ok. Kristin will go see her doctor tomorrow morning (where no doubt she will affirm that everything is just fine), but keep them in your PRAYERS. Rob said baby girl quit kicking for about 20 minutes, but is back to kicking the snot out of Kristin again.

we are back in Houston… all is well here… other than some big tree limbs, everything is as it was… praise God. Livingston (where Joe’s family is) took a harder hit. You can click here to see pics. They are still without power up there… thanks for the prayers. obviously they worked.
love ya,
andi

Hey everyone, I just got off the phone with Andi and she said to tell everyone what is going on. The storm has finally passed and everyone in Livingston is fine. They lost all the barns but all the horses and cattle are ok and the houses are fine. The traffic is very bad on the way back to Houston so they seem to be stuck in Livingston until things get a little better. I think that is about it.

We are safe at Joe’s Granny’s in Livingston. We came across a ton of traffic… people saying they had been on the road since last night… but we never got stuck in the traffic… we kept finding back roads, and dirt roads, and all sorts of crazy roads, and it only took us 3 hours to get where it has taken others 12 to 21 hours in the traffic… God is clearly with us. Thanks for your prayers. Keep ‘em coming.
Love ya!

joe asks that the family pray for the following: that our big pecan tree next to the house is strong, and has strong roots, will stand strong and weather the storm. also, he’s big on prayer that the doors stay shut (hence the couches in front of them); and finally, that no harm comes to our house while we’re gone… cuz we are outta here. Love you! thanks for the prayers!
