akf to do for Christmas:
by: andi
Ok, so Christmas is the season of perpetual hope… the main point of which is one of the most important in the history of man (birth of Christ; saver of our souls, etc.)… and of course, we have many traditions that celebrate this important occasion. However, I have a few… less reverent traditions of my own.
Andi’s Christmas To Do List:
- Open PJs on Christmas Eve. Wear them for the following 35 hours.
- While Bible story is read by person in room with lowest-grade-level reading level; recite story in own head to see if still memorized.
- Place bets on who will cry.
- Attempt not to be person who does cry.
- Make fun of Charlie-Brown-Tree with paper ornaments from circa mid-1970s to present
- Dump red wine in middle of room with newest carpet (”accidentally”).
- See if Michelle can get wine out of carpet again.

See, that is a great list. It inspired me to jot down my own list right here.
mlf Christmas to do list:
-order 4 platters of Atlanta Bread Company Pastries.
-Eat all chocolate croissants from platters immediately.
-Go to grocery store. Purchase Ginger Ale, Hawaiian Punch, industrial strength Resolve, Oxy Clean, and all ingredients for Red Velvet Birthday Cake.
-Convince Andi, Liz, and Kristin that it is one of their turns to make said birthday cake.
-Hope they all forget that between the three of them, they have baked that cake for the last 10 years.
-Switch “Michelle” tag for “Andi” tag on PJ’s under tree. Hope this gives me the edge in the crying pool.
-Attempt to locate decrepit stick reindeer ornament (on tree) handmade by a 10 year old Michelle.
-When unable to locate said reindeer, cry. Lose pool.
-Get wine out of carpet.

I think you girls are getting a little ahead of yourselves…
kef to do for Thanksgiving:
-wake up at 4 am to begin cooking
-put on Cubs hoodie (if it still fits) and proceed to carry around any small animal I can find in the hood.
-4:30 am-begin making rolls for Thanksgiving lunch (1p.m.)
-5 a.m.-Make one of my brother in-laws take me to the store to retrieve forgotten ingredients for rolls.
-Continue working on the rolls for the following 5 hours.
-10am have Joe again take me to the store for more forgotten ingredients for roles.
-11-3p.m. finish making roles.
-4p.m. while roles are cooking-remove small animal from cub hoodie and proceed with showering for Thanksgiving lunch (1p.m.)
-5p.m. eat roles for Thanksgiving lunch (1p.m.)
**Just for the record though-the roles are TOTALLY worth the 12 hours it takes to make them–and by the way-I am sure when made correctly-they only take a short time.
