   I usually score the top of mine about 1/4 - 1/2 inch deep in diagonal lines making diamond shapes, then I stick whole cloves in the corners of each of the diamonds. I lay pineapple slices all over the top and bake it covered on 350 degrees. I make a sauce of brown sugar and pineapple juice to baste over it as it bakes. Length of baking depends on size of ham. A whole ham will take several hours. I think I usually take the cover off the last 30 minutes or so.

   That’s exactly how my mom did it too. No recipe. Except she put the cloves in the middle of each diamond instead of in the scores. And she added some water to the juice with the brown sugar. I can help you with it. She used the big white roaster and put it on low while we went to church (which also took several hours)

   well this is iowa joe and i would not ask jeanie about how to cook it because she will make you throw up a day and a half later….:( but if you want to cook one and mary or andi or someone but not JEANIE!!!
